We hope you have been keeping well. We wanted to update you with our summer holiday plans.
Sadly,despite many calls and emails, we have had no response to our enquiries as to whether our booking for Tapton will be honoured. The Hallam Hall have tried their best to accommodate us but are still in a grey area with allowing use of the community hall.
We are looking at a venue tomorrow which is in the S11 area and are really hoping that this will come through for us.
If we manage to secure a venue, actvities will hopefully run for the month of August, from Monday to Thursday 8.45AM to 3.45 PM, depending on availability of the venue.
The shorter days would allow us time to carry out the necesarry cleaning each day to lessen the risk of the spread of COVID. Also, bookings would be taken for the full 4 days each week, in order to create a temporary bubble and cut down on the risks of spreading COVID.
If we do manage to establish a venue over the summer, there will obviously be other changes to how we will run; we will be sending out full details of how we would manage the club when we have confirmation of a venue to run from.
I, personally, was in the midst of installing a kitchen just before lockdown, so my plans to provide online cooking classes have been waylaid for practical reasons, so apologies for the lack of input and creativity via the internet.
We are hoping to run online classes alongside the actual holiday clubs, details to follow.
