Dear All
Plans for the art and cooking holiday clubs this summer:
We hope you are keeping well and safe. We are hoping that over the summer holidays we will be able to run our art and cooking clubs at our usual venues, but will be making some changes, notes on these changes can be dowloaded here KAA Notes on response to Covid19. Full info on how we will be responding to Covid 19 at our holiday clubs will be formally provided soon.
As the situation stands at the moment with Covid 19, we will be limiting the number of children we can accommodate at our art and cooking holiday clubs in order to ensure that we can properly maintain and ensure social distancing.
The holiday club activity timetable will be available in the next week and bookings will be opening for the summer within the next few weeks.
However! As well as our usual art holiday clubs we will be streaming live cooking and art classes which will have limited spaces to ensure we can still interact with the children and make sure the activities are fun.
We will be running some free weekly live online classes over the next few weeks so watch this space for more info!
Live Online Cooking & Art classes– We will be sharing our activity timetable with you soon. Once bookings are open you can book online as usual, then activities will run as following
Booking an Online Cooking Class
Once you register your place for your chosen cooking class you will receive an email detailing the time the class will start, along with the recipe, ingredients and a short video of how to get your equipment & ingredients ready. Children in the 4-6 yr. age range may need a little help during the activity but children aged 7 yrs + should be able to just work independently through the recipe with us.
We will obviously not be using any sharp equipment or heat during the cooking lessons; adults will need to place the finished dish in the oven once the activity is completed.
Booking an Online Art Class
Once you have registered your place for your chosen art class you will receive an email detailing the time the class will start, along with a list of art materials that you will need to complete the activity. We will also send through some helpful tips on how to set up your table so the art activity goes as smoothly as possible.
We now have some art packs which can be bought online and these can be bought prior to the lessons if you wish. However, just a drawing pencil, some paper, and either colouring pencils, felt tips or water-based paints will be fine to complete the art activities.
We are really looking forward to seeing you all soon, and will be back in touch with art, cooking and animation activity timetables for our holiday clubs and dates for our free online classes soon.
All the best
Hannah and the Kids Arts Academy Team
