Since 2008, Kids Arts Academy has been inspiring children across South Yorkshire through our art, cooking, and animation clubs. We’re proud to offer a creative alternative to childcare — a place where children can relax, learn new skills, and have fun in a safe, structured environment.

Our staff are DBS-checked, experienced, and specialists in the subjects they teach. With smaller class sizes than average and strict adherence to Ofsted ratios, every child receives the support and attention they need.

Art Clubs

Each half term brings a new theme, giving children the chance to explore different artistic techniques in both 2D and 3D. They’ll experiment with pencil, ink, oil pastels, watercolours, and sometimes even Fimo or air-drying clay. All materials are provided.

Cooking Clubs

Children learn how to combine ingredients to create simple, delicious sweet and savoury recipes. We provide all ingredients and containers, and the children take their food home to share with family and friends. Our recipes are vegetarian, made with free-range eggs, and we cater for dietary needs. (No ovens required at your school to host a cooking club!)

Animation Clubs

Children discover the magic of stop-frame animation — from drawing paper sequences to sculpting characters in plasticine. Working in small groups, they design backdrops, develop stories, and bring their own adventures to life. All equipment is provided.

Feedback on our clubs

Your after school clubs are head and shoulders above what anyone else is offering. I’ve found all other clubs to be poor quality, providing the minimal of supervision and nothing more. Kids arts academy is a complete contrast. Lovely interested staff who get to know the kids. Fantastic activities with a good mix of structured art work and free play time. My kids would be devastated if they could not attend in September. If you opened more days we would sign up in a heartbeat

Because the children are not just contained in a safe place. They do something valuable with their time there and learn new skills.

At age 4 we saw our daughter had enthusiasm for art and some natural ability which we wanted to develop and this is the best art club around. We could sign her up for a cheaper after school club that would be more convenient, but we think the club is better and more specialist in the teachings and variety of activities offered.

He loves art and it’s a welcoming and caring environment where he feels safe and valued
