October half term venues:
We will be running activities from both Ranmoor Parish and King Edwards VII Lower School, S10 5RG
It is important to note that King Edward VII Lower school is on Darwin Lane, 2 minutes from Ranmoor Parish Centre, NOT the school in Broomhill! See the map here to King Eds Lower School
Why are we running at 2 sites?
We have decided to run 2 sites as Ranmoor Parish has a lot of regular classes running over the school holidays towards the end of the day and in the evenings. This causes us various problems logistically, with a lot of moving furniture, clearing down equipment, and settIng up again in the morning.
As King Edward VII Lower School is just 2 minutes walk from Ranmoor Parish it is a good solution. 🙂
King Edward VII Lower School;
King Eds Lower School is the venue we ran our first holiday club from in 2008 (!) and we are very familiar with it.
There is a lovely big hall, where we can receive all the children at the beginning of the day, and is great for our lunchtime, lovely and bright for our art class, and the hall also opens out onto a play area for lunchtimes.
We sign everyone in to this hall in the mornings, and when everyone has arrived we take the children signed up for the cooking activity group to the cooking room which is just across the corridor.
We then all come back together for lunch in the hall.
Like Ranmoor Parish, it is secure and a very suitable space for our groups.
The downside is the lovely staff from the Parish Centre aren’t there and we have to move out on Thursday.
Ranmoor Parish Centre
We love running from the Parish Centre! So, we can’t quite bring ourselves to leave. We will be running our animation classes from Monday to Wednesday there, plus 2 full day art classes on the Monday and Tuesday, these classes are only bookable as full day sessions, not mix and match or half days.
On Friday we will only be running from Ranmoor Parish Centre and will run both our art and cooking class there, which can be booked as either full day or half day sessions.
