We hope you are ok. We are excited to be organising the October half term holiday activities, running the 26th,27th, 29th and 30th October, and will also be launching our new website in the next few days.
October holiday club & new venue:
We have secured a lovely venue – the Girl Guide’s Outdoor Activity Centre, S11 7TG which can be found on a map here . Our activity timetable can be downloaded here KAA October 2020.
The venue is set in beautiful secure grounds, so we have planned some art activities inspired by nature, as well as loads of spooky Halloween themed art, animation and modelling activities.
We have had to adapt the running of the clubs to work around the effects of COVID-19. We will continue to adapt our activities whilst COVID-19 is still a threat, and hope to return to our standard opening hours once we are through the pandemic.
Price increase
We have had to increase our prices to cover the costs of the change of venue, cleaning, staffing, equipment and screening for tables and a big reduction in group sizes. Daily cost of attendance is now £55. This is not something that we wanted to do, but have had to in order to be able to continue to function as a small business.
Smaller group sizes & postponement of cooking activities:
We will now be taking 15 children as a maximum in our art and animation group.
We will not be running our cooking class at our holiday clubs until we are through the pandemic as we feel the sharing of food and equipment provides too high a risk for spreading the virus.
Block bookings:
To reduce risks of transmission we will be taking bookings of 2 days minimum. Monday & Tuesday will be classed as 1 booking, and likewise Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately, we cannot be flexible with this.
Reduced days and hours of opening:
We will be open for bookings in 2 day blocks, closing on Wednesday to clean.
It is easier maintain social bubbles and distancing whilst the children are seated and engaged in their activities so we will be operating purely for the creative activities from 9.30am- 4.30pm, no extended hours. In between creative activities we will be outside as much as possible making the most of the beautiful gardens.
We will be opening the bookings tomorrow (Thursday 15th October) and will be looking forward to hopefully seeing you very soon!
